WORSHIP
“O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!  For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.”
Psalm 95:6-7

We are God’s people.  All that we have comes from Him, and our relationship with Him is the source of joy and peace in our lives.  Worship of God is at the heart of all we do at Christ Church. We gather every Sunday and throughout the week, to pray, sing, read the Scriptures and share in the Sacraments of new life.

At Christ Church, we worship God with reverence, drawing on the rich traditions of our faith.  Many of the words and practices that we use are centuries old, while others are new, as the faith is proclaimed in our time. Together with Anglican Christians throughout the world, we use the beautiful and reverent services of the Book of Common Prayer.  In all we do, we aim at excellence, giving God our very best.

At Christ Church, every Sunday, we gather for the Holy Eucharist at 8 & 10.  Christ becomes present to us in this meal of fellowship, and we are strengthened to live for Him.  The 8:00 Eucharist is a quiet, contemplative service, and uses traditional language.  The 10:00 Eucharist is more festive and celebratory, and includes hymns and anthems sung by our talented choirs.  Once or twice a month we also have a Family Service, usually at 9:00 in the Chapel.  This service features contemporary music led by the Joyful Noise Praise Band and an interactive sermon designed for children and youth.  We also share the Eucharist on Wednesdays at 8:30, and gather daily for Morning Prayer at 8:00.  Other services are held at special times.

Below is a list of our worship ministries; if you would like to explore serving Christ Church in this way, please speak with Father Mark at 607.547.9555 or our organist, Roberta Rowland-Raybold (607.547.9555 or music [at] ceccoop.net).
